Fixings

Moulded acrylic letters are supplied with a stud and cup fixings. The letters are supplied with the studs already glued onto the back of the letters and the cups are screwed onto the surface of the wall or wooden panel when fitting on location. There are three sizes of fixings, small, medium and large depending on the size of the letters, the most common size used are the medium size fixings.

The letters are supplied with a per template with ‘x’ marks indicating where the fixings are positioned. To position on the wall use masking tape.

To Mount the Female Sockets

Drill holes through your template marks into the wall fascia. For or masonry, use wall plug.

Secure the cups use stainless steel or zinc coated screws, round-head screws to fix the female cups to the wall surface. Do not over-tighten leave a fractional amount of play or back the screw off a quarter turn. This prevents the plastic cups from splitting and accommodates thermal expansion in the sun.

Now offer the back of the letters to the cups, align the studs on the back of your sign letters with the wall-mounted cups, click into place. Apply firm, even pressure to the face of the letters until you hear the studs snap securely into the cups.
